Here I sit, on the edge of my seat, done with finals for another semester. Sure, it's pleasant enough, but the buzz doesn't last very long. It's only a very short matter of time before the spectre of classes will be hanging over my head again, and the time in between will inevitably be full of "wish I had"s and "why didn't I"s. For example, I haven't cleaned my room, as I promised myself I would. And to my right is a glass of water, incubating some strange species of bug, I'm certain. Beside that is the pile of records I haven't yet begun to review, and beneath me is the empty wallet, a constant reminder of the job I don't have, and the scholarship I can't quite figure out how to redeem.

And yet, I can't help but feel a bit tired, worn out, even before beginning to tackle these necessary evils which lie before me. Fucking hell.

In the meantime, the eternal winter of my procrastination, let us pause to consider how much cars suck. Here we have several ton vehicles moving at ridiculous speeds, in ridiculous proximity to each other in all manner of weather, including that which makes it difficult to even walk without slipping. Now, this isn't any sort of sob story about a car crash, it's just kind of a heads up. Have you stopped to consider the amount of momentum one of these vehicles has? And that's just one! Imagine all the fuel it takes to make them move, where the money for that fuel is going, where the spent fuel is going, and the great benefit received from risking your life every day by driving a car. If ever there were a questionable trade off in our society, that would be it.

Maybe in the coming days I'll try to contribute more eloquent criticisms of this fantastic society in which we live. Or maybe I'll just sleep. Life is full of hard choices.
