Here I see that my journal has undergone a bit of an anti-renaissance, going unupdated for over a week, which is very, very bad. At these levels of updating, people cease to check up on you daily, and you become a 'whatever happened to', which is just bad. I also need to analyze the purpose of my journal, who it's for. Am I here to provide content for you on a semi-daily basis, and a forum to discuss said content? Or do I just want attention by any means necessary?

Regardless, in lieu of content these past days there has been a relatively active discussion regarding Marijuana in my last post. Coincidentally, this weekend I had my first valid pot experience. First off, let me say that after being genuinely high, it was on the order of being drunk. This drug should so be legal, it's not even funny. So I didn't go crazy, I didn't kill anyone. I did consume probably about 1500 calories while high, however, and god damn that shit tasted good.

Actually, the entire experience was overwhelmingly positive. I laughed my ass off, at nothing in particular, and had lots of fun in general. Of course, the entire time I was trying to assess my highness and try not to sound like a moron. That was difficult. I was trying to put on an air of sobriety, which fooled absolutely no one. In fact, I have no idea how anyone can function when high. All I wanted to do was listen to fucking music.

Anyway, if you've never gotten high, I recommend it. I wasn't at all paranoid, I'd eaten two cookies, everything I did while high was overwhelmingly positive, and there was no hangover the next day, or fear of vomiting or anything of that nature. Of course, I also really enjoy being drunk, so keep that in mind.

Now that that's out of the way, allow me to discuss age in society, and the role it plays. Actually, not just age in society, just old people. First off, allow me to say that while I'm about to make a slew of damning comments about old people in general, old people cannot be generalized. Now then, old people - what the fuck?

Kids have to wait until they're 16 before they can drive. But here we have little old ladies who drive their cars into laundromats - somehow they're safe to drive? Surely, hitting 80 doesn't make you unable to drive, but then again, neither does hitting 16 make you able to drive. If you're going to set a lower limit, then why not set an upper limit by the same logic? And voting, look at that. Once you're 18, you're supposedly able minded enough to vote, but what isn't considered is being able bodied enough to vote. Can you say "hanging chad"? If that doesn't scream old people, I don't know what does. And in Florida, no less.

Plus, a whopping number of old people are assholes who want help. I helped a little old lady walk across campus once, and all she wanted to do was bitch about stuff. And she wanted me to carry her bag while she clutched her purse so I wouldn't steal it. Even when they aren't flat out mean, most of the old folks I've met have been astoundingly closed-minded, set in their belief that they are right and unwilling to hear otherwise, always condeming things as stupid.

Please, please, please let me have an open mind when I'm old. I can hear you snickering - how am I any different, hypocritically condemning old people. Well fuck you, ya stupid morons!
